Q: Web sites in China that are in English for buying general goods, ie. clothing, electrical ?

I cant speak Chinese, I have tried Alibaba, but think this is for trade only abroad. Many thanks for suggestions

I don't know of any, but if you use a web browser like Google Chrome it will translate the web-pages for you. Not perfect but it is good enough.

or where do you live now?if you live in shanghai,i can help you to buy something from our Chinese website which called taobao...

Maybe the Hong Kong Ebay.

I used to use e-bay back in the US but as soon as I moved to China, all my purchases were rejected (with a really nasty email saying I was abusing my privileges).

After repeated attempts to resolve the matter, I gave up and canceled e-bay. They said they could not tell me why I was being rejected as it was a "security matter".  Personally, I suspect it was the IP address, but that is just my gut feeling.

On the other hand, had a similar problem with Amazon.com, yet with them I was able to solve the issue in less than five minutes. They agreed that as long as I had things shipped to my billing address, there would be no problem.

first, use google chrome for sure; then use www.taobao.com; set the translator to automatic.  Biggest emporium in the world and a 100% guaranted way to spend all of your savings very quickly.
