Dog is my friend! I wouldn't ate it, if Chinese at the dinner would tell me about it. B.stards......, I thought it was deer!
Western chicken is served without feet and head, but I enjoyed duck heads, split in half.
Pigs brain. Don't recommend it.
icnif77:
Delicacy in some EU countries, mixed with scrambled eggs and sauteed onions. One must be careful: brain can be replaced by liver pate, taste is almost the same.
Gaohao:
Yeh, I can imagine, very much the same consistancy. I don't like liver pate either though. Does make me laugh how many people think brains make you smart though. Went out one night and was served pigs penis. That's supposed to make you sexually virile. Got a bit stuck in the back of my throat.
Silk worm larvae. The first time I did not like them very much but the next time they were cooked with chili and they were fried a little crispier and they were not too bad at all. Have also eaten a Sichuan stile stew with lots of intestine, tripe and congealed blood pieces. It was very good.
Ch6-H8-O2-C-4=Na2
It's a joke, but somebody will get it.
Xpat.John:
I am not a chemistry major. But as far as I can tell, it says Benzine = Sodium. Bu ming bai.
rasklnik:
My point was the strangest thing we've eaten in China is most likely a chemical contaminant or additive.
fried jellyfish (awful)
dog (quite good, if seasoned right)
yak's testicle (very good, in thin pieces, marinated)
... hm ... this was in a purpose. but heavens knows what is on the sticks, or in the dumplings in street vendors "bars"... especially in small cities... so I think, that I can add a rats, and a number of small rodents and other fluffy or slimy friends
Gaohao:
Yep, i've had the same thought. Eat out in the markets long enough and you can pretty much guarantee you've eaten rat, cat, you name it.
Chicken feet, heart and liver, frogs, snake, duck blood...
yes i ate pizza hut they they served something that looked like a pizza
