In China the round moon stands for a family reunion. The beautiful moon always make people miss their hometown and families.this is one reason for that......

even in my country ( nepal) or middle east or india or any muslim countries full moon is an holy phenomenon.. they usually have festivals..
chinese also regard full moon as an auspicious thing ..

It has always been considered romantic or a time of great fishing catches or crop harvest.
