Q: Western hair cut in Shanghai

I am a female in need of a hair cut.  Does anyone know any where I can get a WESTERN experienced person to cut my hair in Shanghai?  It will be almost a year since I've had a descent hair cut, and I do not go back to USA until Dec.

Any advise would help.

Thanks.

its hard to find I think.but there is a good way to solve the problem.
1.find a photo of the hair style you want.then put that in your phone.
2.look for a good place and show that to the stylelist.tell them the differences between the photo and your aim if necessary

In China I cut my hair myself. It's not exactly evenly cut to be honest, but it's long so that's not obvious. Try laugh

You're definitely not from America.......also why not get a haircut from a local....sounds pretty discriminatory to me..you know what just wait..because there are no foreigners that cut hair unless you want to get a haircut by a Korean barber...

Your hair won't descend any further if you have it cut.

I have received 2 local hair cuts and they were done very badly.  The hair was cut jagged with no form.  Western hair is much different than Chinese local hair.

Thanks for your suggestions

Usually the Spa in a 5-star hotel will have a good hairdresser that has western experience and speaks English! Good luck!

There are a lot of hairdresser shops around if you don't get a good haircut go to another.  Unless you can speak good mandarin, best to go in with a picture of what you want.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
