1. always say nihao  etc. to us (simple Chinese )

2. ask stereotype question like : do u eat dog?  ( wtf? yes I do I also eat fresh human meat)

3. tell me u look very tall ( lol, not all Chinese are skinny and short )

But again , I should say no question actually annoyed me when u communicate with people from other country , cuz we don't know each other 'a culture, then we interested and ask and share different perspectives . I think it's a good thing. Just be kind

  I went to a Chinese takeaway about thirty years ago to ask the owner how to write 'I love life' in Chinese (I know, painful and lame as f**k, but I was making a Christmas present and I was fifteen and smoked too much pot at the time), and a guy came in to pick up some food and whilst waiting he asked the owner "So.....what martial art do you do?" I found this pretty funny but the guy behind the counter just rolled his eyes and said, "Actually I don't do any martial art. Now..........is that flied lice or bot lice?" Seems stereotyping is universal. 

I only know one Chinese who's been o/s, my wife, and she said that everywhere she went people assumed she was Japanese.

From what I know of Chinese travel abroad, they travel in a tour group, thereby experiencing zero of local culture, or, they study in another country but just live a 'Chinese life'.

Most Westerners know little of China and Chinese people.  If pressed for a description of Chinese people the overwhelming answer would be..."short people, eat rice, all look the same."

One of my favourite and enduring memories of my time here was when I overheard (and subsequently sought clarification of) the locals commenting on how all foreigners look the same.  

Gees I laughed!  

It rang the stereotype bell for me however.

Calling them Laowai's   , making them put a seat belt on ,   flushing used toilet paper , the concept of the Que ,speaking English in Public made to go back to China

Probably the fact that Chinese back home can't see them (which is why social network is so important). 

Traveling abroad is done for respect, man.

From Chinese living in Europe, based on what is said on forums, an overwhelming majority of Chinese women married with a guy there or/and students
   * Being far from the family

   * Stupid stereotypes like 'all Chinese are small'
   * Troubles to get accepted by the in-laws
   * When studying, for group work, often picked last

   * High level of taxes
   * Out of the blue, being told things like "so you guys in China don't have human rights and invaded Tibet, how do you feel about that ? That's true baby girls are thrown in the garbage ?"
 

According to my wife?

- Tipping

- Taxes

- That the food is different

- Different office culture

Politeness.

Courtesy.

Rule of Law.

Basic honesty.

Proper public hygiene.

Knives and forks.

Medium rare roast beef.

Respectful driving skills.. And enforced laws. No guanxi's to save their worthless life.

No chicken feet!!!
