Q: What are attitudes towards foreign men dating significantly older Chinese women?

You hear a lot about foreign men with younger Chinese women but what about when it's the other way round? Is there greater acceptance when a younger foreigner falls for a Chinese woman 10+years his senior?

Other foreigners kept on saying I'd end up married and giving them a child and a free ticket to France.

Chinese people... didn't say a lot, except perhaps "But you're too young!" once in a while.

But the women I went out with would be criticized by their friends and relatives...

You get some social stigma just from dating a foreigner.  But it's unheard of to date a guy younger than you, much less a foreign guy.

Just being two or three years older than me has been a deal breaker many different times.
