I see ads ranging from 150 yuan per hour (agent postings) and direct employers that offer as much as 500 yuan per hour. You veteran teachers out there, can you give some advice here? Thanks.

If you want the big bucks, and if you the physical profile, the right passport, and the educational background, then try Wall Street English. They pay quite well. If not, then try one of the other major language mills.
If you have or your friend has the patience and if you like little children, then try one of the upmarket kindie's in the capital. You can really make top dollar there but the hours will be long and you will need oodles of energy ... and patience ... and tact to deal with the parents.
