Depending on what you are looking for you can try several different stores. The best place to go Christmas gift shopping in Shanghai would be the shopping mall. But if you want christmas clothes as gifts there are a lot of stores such as Uniqlo etc., It all depends on what you want!

shopping online through taobao,yixun,360buy,or other online websites.Also you can go to supermarket to buy Christmas gifts.Many mall or supermarket will have discount.......good luck

Are you an expat buying for people back home? Because we usually go to either Tianzifang or the fake market and pick up lots of little souvenirs as Christmas gifts for people back home.

 

For people here it's more tricky as Chinese tat doesn't cut it...

I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
