What are some different manners between Chinese and American families. Places such as the dinner table, greetings etc.,
Well the one I hated the most about the dinner table was when I was with my local friends and especially friends from my "hometown" I was forced to drink rounds after rounds of "baijiu" its very disrespectful not to follow along and once I drank 3 bottles of baijiu 3 days in a row....
Other than that, don't stick chopsticks straight into the rice

I've heard the chopstick story before, I know exactly what that represents..what about being excused at the table?
KaiKaiKai:
supposedly it means the food is for the dead. I got smacked in the head many times when I was younger because my parents were traditional Chinese and I did stupid things
