Q: what are the different types of taxes chinese people are paying ? About how much of a person salary incurs in tax paying ?

The rates change contingent on what salary bracket you fall in. In general, it can go from as low as 5% taxes to 45%.

At the moment I think China's income taxes are among the highest, possibly superseded by Japan.

To give you an idea in terms of numbers. About a year ago I was making 13,000 RMB. Post taxes, I had 11,300 RMB. I'm an expatriate, so I don't know if we get taxed more or less. I doubt there's a difference though.

all the taxes chinese people paying are within the purchase of each products itself.

When considered for the income tax, below is the breakup of the chart......It deducted 2000 RMB for chinese and 4800 RMB for Foreigners initially from the Taxable income and then the below calculation come into effect
