Wow! That's a biggie.

FOOD
At home meat is pre-packed in the supermarket and standards of hygiene are rigorously enforced.
No chicken feet or heads to be seen.
No live fish at the supermarket.
The majority of fish and chicken dishes are deboned back home.
The bread isn't sweetened at home.
Chocolate has flavour.
AND SO ON...

MANNERS
Spitting is roundly condemned in public.
People queue.
Customer service is a reality.
People apologise when they walk into you.

WORK
Management styles are totally different; questionning is encouraged; debate is welcome.
'Doing something' is a requisite for continued employment.
Getting paid on time/payslips/work schedules made ahead of time are normal things you don't have to ask for.

ACCOMMODATION
The plumbing in China is crappy (excuse the pun).
Nobody seems to care about how their neighbourhood looks.
Kitchens are rather spartan.
Squat toilets are common.

There's just so much...need to come back to this one.

I have a lifetime gym/spa membership back home so I don't really go to any gyms here. Get all my exercise by walking daily. I don't use public transportation back home such as buses, taxis etc., and here I do.

Absolutely every aspect of my life here is different than back home...the only exception is my beer consumption.
Even relationships here with gf's are different.
It can be exciting some days and exausting others.
