Q: What are the divorce customs in China?

I remember seeing a movie a while back with that famous bald Chinese actor (whose name I forget). During the movie a couple was getting a divorce, and they each burned a piece of paper (I think) and placed them in an urn.

Anyone know what this is about?

If you search on Internet "Divorce Law in China in English" you can have the whole thing there, and it will not he heresay.

Of course, it will depend on nationalities of those involved, if both Chinese law will apply, if one is not, he (or she) will get royally screwed (the foreigner).
