Went to the park today, the dog needed to dump out. The particular park is littered with "Dog's not allowed" signs, but I carry a small piece of paper saying in Chinese "Excuse my dog, it cannot read Chinese".
Anyway. In the park there is a sign saying "Announcement for entering the park", it goes on to say blah blah blah "...please pick up you dog-ends, paper cups...."
it's a cigarette butt, I have no idea why it's called that though.
Yepp! in the UK many refer to the end of a cigarette as 'dog-ends' Not sre as to why.
I'll qualify the above answer by saying it's the USED cigarette and the ends of rollies (which is where the orginal name would have come from - not with the newer filtered versions) - not just the end of a cigarette. So, basically, it means 'don't throw your used cigarette ends all over the place' - which would make a lot more sense!
