Q: What are the most popular holiday destinations for Chinese people in Asia?

As far as I know, Cambodia and Indonesia are the only two countries (also maybe Sri Lanka) where Chinese people don't need visas to visit. I may be wrong though.

Hong Kong and Taiwan are the most popular destinations for Chinese tourists. Despite the fact they need visas (or was Taiwan loosening its rules?)

Chinese passport holders can also go to the Maldives without visa, but I think the pricelevel is prohibitive for many.

they go to Maldives and eating Instant Noodles  there !! :D:D:D:D

There's quite a few countries Chinese citizens can travel to either visa-free or visa-on-arrival.  It's been posted here before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visa_requirements_for_Chinese_citizens

Sanya and Beihai are 2 other destinations for the wealthy Chinese.  Beihai because of the beach and it is much cheaper than Sanya.  Sanya is also a popular destination for wealthy Russians.

Can't remember if they need visas to visit but I visited Thailand repeatedly from 2008-2012 and you could really see the massive influx of Chinese tourists over that time. They dominated the mid-range of the market.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
