Q: What are the most undervalued jobs in China?

Both in pay and reputation.

Example: in Europe and North America, being a teacher is an undervalued job. They get paid little and it isn't worth squat in terms of prestige unless you're a university professor.

From your experience in China, what are the most undervalued, and underpaid jobs?

If you aren't a senior government officer or business owner then your job is probably considered undervalued and underpaid.

My personal opinion is the doctors. I dont know how much they earn, maybe it's higher than general people. I just feel it should be higher with the consideration of the hospital enviroment, facilties and many people they deal with on a daily base. Maybe this will make them happier to serve patient better.

Doctors are paid around 10K per month. Pretty shit if you ask me

After watching a documentary on Walmart yesterday I would nominate their employees, especially the females. Although with Walmart it appears to be a global thing rather than just China. Just atke a look at the treatment of employees at Walmarts factories here.

I know doctors in China make shit but....
A country will never be great unless they pay their teachers a great salary, and at the same time expect high credentials.  Education is the key to success for any country.
If America does go into decline it will be primarily because of the neglected and under funded educational system...and I mean public, unbiased quality education.
So to answer your question...I think teachers in China are paid the crappiest compared to their importance.....which is why the rich have their private schools here...like America.
