Q: What are my chances of landing a teaching job in China if I have the following

Good day! I'm a 25-year-old female from the Philippines. What are my chances of landing a teaching job in China if I have the following:

  • -a professional teaching license
  • -a year of experience teaching in a private school in my country
  • -two years of experience teaching in an online setting for foreign students

Here are the primary Z Visa requirements:

1. Your Nationality

You must be from one of seven approved countries – UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa

China has decided that only citizens from these seven countries speak English fluently and may teach their students. Yes, we know – it doesn’t always work like that but, to be brutally honest: their house, their rules. surprise

... or in other wordz, yer chances to get legal ET job with only proper Z/Working visa are nonexistent ...

Hotwater:

They are the requirements to teach English. As a fully qualified teacher they could apply to international schools for a class subject teaching job. The OPs experience is very limited so I’d be surprised if an international school offered them a job.

'ET' standz for English teaching, what I was referring to.

Theoretically, licensed non-English native teacher could qualify for a particular subject teaching in China. However, I assume most foreign lectures at International schools in China are conducted in English language, what exposes a weak spot for any non-native Englisher.

Not included AI - robotic teaching, which is widely implemented in China. I read about that at ZeroHedge , when you can have any subject teacher (in any world's language, mind you!) in the classroom for a fraction of the cost of a real human foreign teacher.

How are you anyway? Long time no see ...

A:https://www.internationalschoolsreview.com/nonmembers/age-article.htm Teaching age limits were relaxed in China late 2019. Teachers who work in 2nd or 3rd tier cities are able to teach until 65.In China, if you meet the requirements for a class a work permit, there are no age restrictions. The class a work permit is for high end talent only. * (3/10/2017) China has begun to institute a new quite stringent regulation for expat teachers. It is based on points, one earns points for type of degree, at what university it came from, whether you can speak Chinese, and then age comes into play. The more points one has earned the better chance they have of staying in a contract and obtaining a work visa once they are 60. ... more ...  ... butT ..., see this one: https://www.hiredchina.com/what-are-the-new-rules-for-foreign-teachers-in-china-2023 New Rules for Foreign Teachers in China 2023In order to make it easier for foreign teachers to continue to teach in the country, the Chinese government has announced a series of new regulations that will come into effect in 2023.
