Q: What are some good restaurants in Shanghai?

I'm going to Shanghai for a few days and I wanted to take my lady friend to some nice restaurants. I'd like something that isn't Chinese as that's all I can get where I live. Italian, French, Middle Eastern, South American - I don't really mind. Looking to spend 1,000 RMB +.

Check some of the restaurants in The Bund area, there are many good ones in the buildings and they have fantastic view. Otherwise you will end up inside a shopping mall. Personally I like Jean George in the bund but if you are looking forward to making an impression on your girl you can always take her to The Cupola at Three on the Bund but you should make a reservation for this one.
