Q: What are some insecurities of Chinese men and women in relationship with a foreigner?

How do Chinese men/women react to their boyfriend/girlfriend having friends with the opposite sex whether a foreigner or Chinese?

I find that Chinese boys are not very threatened when their girlfriend has a foreigner friend. often they are as excited as she is about meeting him. In general, Chinese are easy about making friends. A little too easy if you ask me. So don't think too much if a girl comes to you and wants to be "friends". Many of them are rather naive, romantically. A lot of innocent and harmless girls out there.

BaoanGuy:

They're not naive. It's just as foreigners we're not used to real women. Women are supposed to be soft and feminine not hard and masculine.

if the boy is a foreigner in a boy-girl relation, the biggest insecurity is that the relation will end up with the boy's sudden escape from China. 90% of such relations are no more than sex relation.
