Club viva is popular, it’s always a hotspot on Friday and Saturday. Of course what’s great about it is its large outdoor patio seating. The terrace is good too, because as the name suggests they have a big out door terrace.

Well Shenzhen is huge.  If you are near Shekou then there are plenty including Luna Bar, Senior frogs, and lots of places surrounding those locations.

bryan.mcminn:

you should mention what area of Shenzhen you are in.

Go to Coco park. Just tell the taxi: qing qu Coco (English sounds: ching choo coco park), Don't go to the mall, go across the street and you'll find a strip of bars that are out doors, viva club is cool.. Theres a WEB international near there, if you see that you are in the right place.

If you fancy having a drink outside in the fresh air you could consider doing what I do...buy some takeaways from the nearest little shop and pull up a pew where ever you happen to be.  Under a tree is better.

Scandinavian:

"under a tree" is the exact location dogs and kids pee and poo

I do understand your suggestion, man I miss the clean grass where you could sit safely in the shadow under a green canopy and enjoy a good brew. People should really be forced to control where their dogs and children pee and poo, like in the civilized world

Yeah, you are right.  How about this radical idea then....

You know those people getting about in uniforms that say 'police'...(whether or not they're actually police officers is debatable!) well, those people should be ordered to slap spitting/pissing/littering on-the-spot fines on anyone who transgresses.  If they are observed to have neglected their duty to do this, then they should be dealt with.  Heheheh....yes, dealt with.

And while about booking people for these things consider running it to other antisocial activities, too.

Such as...such as... Hell, I haven't got the time.

In Dali last week I found a ripper of an outside drinking spot.  I realise Dali isn't very handy to Shenzhen but I offer this for your information only.

The place was called 'Bad Monkey' and you have a choice of 4 different locally micro brewed beers.  All ice cold.  I can vouch for the fact the Pale Ale is addictive.

You should go there.

Hotwater:

Sounds great but "ice cold pale ale"? A decent beer shouldn't be drunk ice cold....they only do that to generic lagers so you don't realise they are tasteless.
