You haven't specified a district or region. But if you are in Beijing, head to Wangfujing (Line 1 on the metro). There they sell all sorts of mad street foods, including hotpot, kebabs, and fried scorpions on a stick.

If you are in the south of China, then go anywhere and you can find strange edible things for sale. The will eat ANYTHING.
