I certainly didn't do all of Xi'an, but high up that list is Mount Huashan.

It'll take you about an hour to get there by bus, but it's unbelievable up there.

The WOMEN

So many dynasties were located there and the Emperors brought the most beautiful gene pool from all over China.

Of course you need to visit the terracotta warriors. Just like the Great Wall they might not be the most exciting, but how could you skip them.

To me the terracotta Warriors are not amazing! you should go an see the muslim quarter and take a ride with Felix on a vintage sidecar motorbike from the 1930s in the countryside. You will see temples, meet cave dwellers, eat on a farm..An unforgettable experience!

Terracotta warriors boring and to many people. Muslim Quarter you will get ripped off. Bell/Drum towers good for the view not worth paying the money inside. Big goose pagoda great park area and at night the fountain show is pretty good. Small goose pagoda not worth the money. Xian is a tourist trap for those people willing not to really explore this great city.

My suggestion check out Daqin pagoda old christian church outside of Xian good for history. The mountains just south of the city has some hidden temples and great scenery. The Gaoxin area (CBD) has some good hideaway places as well.

brisguy:

Great Japanese restaurant that is designed in a factory layout but best Japanese food.

If you are in Gaoxin you have a crappy looking China Construction Bank building on the corner of Gaoxin Road from that place a small park is just up the road from that building at the end of the park you will see a warehouse looking building enter on the side and inside is the Japanese place and it takes up most of that building.

After:

1. Terracotta Warriors

2. Mt Huashan

3. bike around the wall

4. Muslim Street

5. Drum Tower & Bell Tower

6. Big Wild Goose Pagoda

You might to just try a small suburb of Xi'an for a different China experience.
