remember he said "start"... so that just means he can't be drunk at 12:00 A.M.  12:01 is when his night begins..

mArtiAn! I am sure you will do just fine. I will cheer you on. And you will do wonders for your liver should you stick to your words. By the way, they didn't tell you that you have fatty liver did they?

I've got a good enough reason to quit, that's all you need. Ask me again in a month. I won't have had a drink.

It's my roommate's birthday on 1/1 so we're doing a combo party as we did last year. Not bad sharing your birthday party with a new year's party..

Nice...2 birds with one stone.

Will go to Shanghai...anybody have any suggestions on where to go?

tsonj:

The last time I was in Shanghai I stayed at Life Adamo Boutique Hotel No 317 Guang Ling Er Road. The price was pretty reasonable and the hotel room was good.

Two years ago I went to Soho, a club on Hengshan lu. It's a Chinese club but I had an absolutely awesome time. At midnight they shot about 5,000 ping pong balls in the air with canons and gave everyone light sticks etc. Went with a bunch of friend's and the locals made it completely about us since it's 'our holiday'. Was an awesome experience.

Sounds awesome! I only live in a small city, so I haven't had a good crazy night out for a long time and I really fancy one for New Year's. Thanks for the advice!

Take lime/lemon and salt with you to wherever you will be going for your party. I guarantee that you will not feel any signs of drunkenness if you keep licking the sourness and the saltiness whenever you feel the drunk coming on. lime/lemon and salt is a buzz killer.

Enjoy yourselfindecision.
