Q: What are your strengths and weaknesses in China?

I communicate well with Chinese people but I still can't reach the level I used to have back home because I don't speak Chinese well. Although I am busy here and have a lot of things to do, my mind and body tend to drown in hibernation mode during the day. But I can't say that I am not getting any experience and my staying here is useless. I am becoming social, daring, and more responsible especially when it comes to cash. I used to lose patience easily but here I am patience as climbing horse. how about you ?

About the same as at home. How patient is a climbing horse?

Patient as you while reading my failed metaphor. Doesn't it make any sense to you ?

I would guess a descending horse requires more patience than an ascending horse, but I don't know the metaphor. I know I'm much more careful descending a mountain than ascending. I guess I could look it up?

My main weakness is my compassion towards illegal teachers.

Do you think I am illegal teacher ? hahaha

I've lost nearly 100lbs. since coming here 9 months ago (I was around 400). Chinese food is terrible. I've got so much free time at my uni that I've taken up weightlifting, and I don't mind jogging outside here since I am less self-conscious this far from peole who know me. . Coming from the burbs, getting to use a taxi every day is just plain cool.

As for weaknesses, it is exceedingly simple for ones ego to swell here. I sometimes manage to think of people here as Chinese people rather than as people. My lack of cultural umderstanding leads me to be unsure about how to behave here, and I am petrified of taking a girl's virginity without her understanding that I am not going to marry her.
