Depends on their field of study and the city in which they are looking.  For a graduate student it is likely to be 4000+ in tier 1 cities, 3500+ in tier 2 and 3000+ in lower tier cities.

This is, assuming of course, that the student went directly from undergrad to grad school without any real world work experience.

Many earn even 1000 or less a month at the very beginning of their career. It depends a lot on their major and how many extra certificates they possess.
