Q: What is the best place to go for Yunnan food in Beijing?
I've found a couple already but they just don't have that proper fresh Yunnan flavor..
The idea of "the best" restaurant is very subjective, what may be excellent for me may not be up to par with you.
Considering that, I will give you two names, I have enjoyed both, and quite reasonable. The first one, Yuanshengtai Yunnan Hot Pot, is a hot pot type rather new restaurant carving a good name for themselves, about 100 Yuan per person, and I am sorry I do not recall the address.
The second one will be Dali Courtyard, at 67 Xiaojingchang Hutong, Gulou Dong Dajie in Gulou, phone 8404-1430, opens from 11 am until 2 pm, and from 6 pm to 11 pm, and price range from 200 to 300 yuan per couple.
