Q: What is the best place to spend the winter in China?

I only saw Guilin which I liked and Yangshou. Where are some good places to live for a winter ? A place with no snow.

Oh you wouldn't spend so much. The only thing slightly dearer in Thailand than in China is the beer. Food is cheap, accommodation is cheap, scooter hire is cheap, clothes shopping and other shopping is cheaper and the girls? That's the fun bit. Nothing to fear in Thailand. I admit I didn't answer the question correctly though - Thailand isn't part of China.

I'm afraid that Thailand is not part of China yet... People think China wants every country to be Chinese. Taiwai, Tibet... oh, isn't Thailand "T" capitalized? Maybe that's part of China just I didn't know...

Guangzhou gets pretty cold. Hainan is awesome. I'd avoid the city of Sanya though. They're building a huge military base and movement outside the city is limited in some places.

Njord:

The base is going to simply be a playground for the military elite... Staffed with the best looking Chinese army girls and old men. ;)

Zhuhai is nice near Macao. Macao and Hongkong are also good choice.
