Q: What is the best sattelite TV service to get in Beijing?
How much does it cost and how often does it go down or get blocked? Do we constantly have to buy new chips to keep it up and running or ??????????? What are the pros and cons. Is there a web site link where we can see what channels are included and which are extra and how much the package costs? I don't want to spend 2 hours haggling with a stranger. Thanks
From what I have been told, satellite TV is illegal in China. However, since this is China, there are a lot of people with satellite dishes.
All the ones I have seen are pirated boxes that grab feeds from different countries. If you want English TV, then you will want the Filipino satellite feed.
Even with it being pirated, the Philippines pretends to be a very conservative country so almost every nudity scene is edited out of their shows. But, they will have a lot of English shows for you to rot your brain on.
Best service you can get is DishHD from Taiwan. The Dream package from Philippines is cheap roughly 1800rmb for the year and installation but the picture quality is bad.
