Q: What is the best way to get an apartment for a long stay in Shenzhen?
I'm wondering if there are people who live in Shenzhen and who know how to get an apartment here.

The best and cheapest way is to ask the security guards and the gardens/apartments if there is any apartments for rent, they normally know all the apartments that are empty and you will only have to pay 600-700 rmb finders fee instead of paying the agents a full months finders fee, you will need the help of a chinese speaker/chinese friend, That is if you are already here,
i would stay away from most agents as they tend to be sharks, and 70% of what they have on their websites is lies, they have amazing apartments for a good price and once you get to the shop they tell you that they have just rented all those apartments out and then they wil waste time and show you a small box for a lot of money,
security guards is the way to go because once you found a place you will then deal directly with the landlord,
