If you can find Watson's I would stick with that.  Distilled, safe and a Hong Kong Company.
Otherwise look for western brands (even if the name is in Chinese you should be able to recognize the logo).

If you DO drink chinese bottled water  stay away from "Nongfu Springs". One of my students last year found insect eggs in the cap!!!

nevermind:

Hello, protein!

So was your student the actual one to find the fly eggs or did he/she just see it on the news and "claim" to discover it him/herself?

Never had a problem with Watsons, Nestle, Wahaha, or Nongfu....but of course you hear stories about Wahaha (using toxic river water as a source) or Nongfu (above mentioned insect eggs).

I don't know, I tend to drink Wahaha the most. The lid is easier to open than some of the other ones. I tried Nestle, tasted horrible. Same with the coca cola brand, whatever it's called. If it's toxic, well, the water doesn't smell that way. Any bottled water smells a hell of a lot less toxic than my tap water.
