Q: what can i do if an employer fails to honor a contract

if an employer fails to honor a contract what can i do

A high school offered me a contract and I accepted. They asked me to let my college cancel my FEC and give me a letter of recommendation and I said only after you sign the contract which they did. After they said the FEC office ask they to provide insurance but they refused saying it was too much trouble so I bought it and informed them. However, they said they decided to repost the position and look for a new. What can I do?

Whatever you do DO NOT CALL SAFEA.

I heard about a guy who called SAFEA. The school he worked for asked him to clean his apartment, he refused because it wasn't in the contract and called SAFEA, who promised to help.

Instead of helping he spent 3 weeks locked up in a remote SAFEA facility. When he got out he had...changed. Was never the same. He refused to speak of what had happened there but rumor was that he was no longer...whole. I shudder to think of what SAFEA did to him.

If you look at the SAFEA logo, you get a sense of what they are about. They take a tortured man as their image. So let that be a warning TO you.

You can stop posting the same question every five minutes for one thing.

Obviously you are not a native English speaker and not in a legal position to be hired and thus at the whim of Chinese employers.

My advice: grow a pair, research all offers fully, make sure that you meet all of the legal requirements for any position in China, and never expect others to clean up your mess for you.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
