The position China holds is thus: do they have anything we want?

If yes: bitch and moan at the U.N, then veto any action.

If no: keep mouth shut until we find something we want.

I think China's stance on it is meaningless. The US will invade if they want to, regardless of what China say or do, and China will stand by and watch.

China should be excluded as a permanent member of the UN Security Council. It is disruptive, and a menace to the world, politically and economically. It is embroiled in territorial disputes with twenty different countries, and in trade disputes with almost every nation on earth.

It is also unable to resolve it's own internal issues, and is on a sure path to it's own civil war. It is the world's worst polluter, and the world's worst offender with regard to human rights. In reality, China is one of the countries that the UN should be dealing with, not one of the countries that purports to deal with the problems of others.

Membership of the UN Security Council should be reserved for developed countries that are or have been superpowers. China does not fit into either category.

i think all western countries should give up on the middle east, having the tribes kill each other off for a few more centuries and not getting involved will reduce the world population and lower the carbon footprint on the planet if you think like a good liberal, if your a conservative, take the oil after they kill each other, the  ones that suffer the most in all this is the women who get treated as pets and property there.

good intentions with not good result, time to say enough, like the british just did, but having obama remove the bust of winston churchill from the white house and call france our greatest ally instead of britain did not help "the one" get his british parliament blessing for action in syria, if i had a british friend here right now, i would buy them a beer for sticking it to the "one".

china still hasnt figured out that america will become fuel independent and let china deal with all these tribes and civil wars and try to get oil from the middle east. if i were not an ambivalent person, i would say this was the long term plan all along.

having strong dictators benefits russia selling arms and china buying oil, but it seems the tribes dont like dictators anymore, i hope the west stays out and just enjoys the show.

It looks like Americans are pissed at Russians 'Snowden' support?

"The West handles the Islamic world the way a monkey handles a grenade," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin tweeted.http://edition.cnn.com/2013/08/29/world/meast/syria-iran-china-russia-supporters/index.html?hpt=hp_t3
