Q: What is the current situation of Sanya, Hainan post the hurricane?

Would it be a good idea to take a 3 day vacation there or is it still being cleaned up?

No idea, I was in Manilla, Angeles and Cebu two days after Hainan hit and didn't see any damage. The storm devasted eastern regions but not every where. Did Sanya even get hit? That was almost a year ago, any damage would have been cleaned up. I was in Gulin and Gz when it hit, it was just a big rain and it got cold.

I was just there 2 days ago and it's ok now, not as bad as the news showed, what you saw were the poor urban areas where the extra flooding water gets pumped into, my wife's mom and dad live in Haikou and everything looked normal, we go back every other weekend from

Shenzhen to Haikou only cost 230 per person so it gives us a weekend of fun, Yeah Sanya will be fine.
