Nothing really. Both are stated owned enterprises. Both do offer virtually the same prices so they are in place to give more money to the gov.
Would like to see in the future some global mobile companies come in like vodafone or virgin to shake it up abit.

I have my mobile service with China Mobile and my internet service through China Unicom...wait...did I answer the question?

What's the difference between Verizon and AT&T?  Rogers or Bell?  Not much.
