Q: What diseases can get you thrown out of the country?

I heard if you're HIV positive you can get deported. Is this true?

Are there any other illnesses that can you refused entry or deported out of China?

Thank you.

Since you are supposed to be "healthy" in order to get a visa to enter China, if you are not and declare so, you will run the risk of being denied the visa.

There were some indications that the ban on people with sickness was lifted about a year ago, but in every day activity, no indication of implementation is found.

Beside HIV, and any other sexually transmitted diseases (venereal diseases), I do know of leprosy, some form of violent mental disorders, contagious tuberculosis or any other infectious diseases.
