Im not chinese and i'm not in position to represents chinese.. im not a big fan of money since the concept and function of money should not be existing anymore.. Yet, since we're still in this era with money, in general I would see money and love as a unique relationship.. love will grow healthily and well maintained with some money, and money would be emptily to spend without the existance of love.

I know a Chinese architect who earns a lot of money.  I've met his local girlfriend and wife.  He also has girlfriends in several cities because he has money to spend- lots of it.

In a way I'm one of his retinue, but I hate it when he invites me to go out with his wife one day and his girlfriend the other.  On the other hand, I know a good looking, tall Chinese man in his late 20's with a mediocre job who has never had a girlfriend.  Recently, he tried too seduce the local British teacher in her apartment and he got turned down, but that's another story.  It's actually funny how Chinese guys blame the foreigners for a lack of women.  Less than one million foreigners in China, and not all men mind you, is not the problem.

My last gf, while telling me she loved me all the time for three months, found an older rich Chinese man that her mother approved of.  She dumped me at the airport. There you go...

Money, they value the fact you will look after them, "save them". How many of us would accept such a dependence and the question" how much do you make" in our early dating experience with a western woman. Back home women are in need of  security too, but are willing and prepared to cooperate and contribute to it they don't measure your value as a potential partner by money because they are aware that life brings many challenges. They seem to go more for the connection and what it feels like being together; we seem to accept more nonsense from the Chinese women and forgive their character flaws for their "innocent" appearance but ,maybe time to look under their exterior.

They value just money!!!!

I believe so many of you have heard about the downside of Chinese girls, how materialistic they are and how dishonest they can be. Guys, I feel extremely sorry for this, yet you just have bad luck. If I'm asked this question, my answer will be LOVE. I know, you may say I'm just lying. Ok, let's don't talk about me here then. I use my girl friends as examples.

From high school to college, most of my good girl friends are really down to earth, hardworking, intelligent, trustworthy with a good heart, they don't take money over love, whether for their family, friends, boyfriends or husbands. I'm working and I see more in this society than I want to and I know there are many girls who  care about the money and material stuff in their life, yet it comes down to a very realistic question: WHY? One obvious reason is because they're lazy, not very smart, undereducated, they just want someone to take care of them in all ways. Yet we have to look into the hidden reason. When we're in school, we're not taught to live a happy life, we're taught to compete in this real world. Parents compete with other parents, who's got smarter kids, better houses, cars, salaries; classmates compete with each other, who's got better grades, parents or anything you can think of. Even mass media broadcast about being success means loaded with money. How can they not be influenced with everything around them? I admit that there're very few people understand what they really want or value in their life, even if they do, things could be so different. But just because they don't share the same values like we do, doesn't' mean they're all wrong. We have no idea what they've been through to have such values, whether right or wrong.

For sure there're many gold diggers, looking for rich foreigners or a fast ticket to get out of China and a nice green card worldwide. They all seem to be great when you firstly meet and you find something ugly beneath all the good faces and dresses. C'mon, don't you have tons of women like that in the western countries? The Blonde? Bimbo? Airhead? Do you get upset with them as much as you do with Chinese women?

Bottom line here, whether men or women, Chinese or foreigners, there're good ones and bad ones. If you meet the bad ones, well, be smart next time and don't get deceived by your eyes, the real thing can only be seen by heart.
