Here's all the gambling advice you'll ever need..

You got to know when to hold them,

know when to fold them,

know when to walk away, know when to run.

Never, never never ever count your money when you're sitting at the table, you'll have time for that when the dealing's done.

Oh and if you happen to meet a girl named Lucille in a bar... steer clear of her, she just picked a fine time to leave her hubby.

Kiwi police to whoever stole Covid-19 testing tent: Please return it… and get tested ASAP

Kiwi police to whoever stole Covid-19 testing tent: Please return it… and get tested ASAP

The derogatory term ‘covidiot’ has been given a new flair in New Zealand, where somebody went to the effort of cutting off a Covid-19 testing tent bolted to the concrete and stealing it. Police now urge the thieves to be tested.

“Some fool idiot came and stole our tent,” said Loretta Hansen, the CEO of East Health Trust, the healthcare provider handling the testing. “They just chopped it off.

“It is very difficult to know what they think they are going to use it for,” she told the New Zealand Herald.

New Zealand currently has 708 confirmed and probable Covid-19 cases, including 14 patients treated at hospitals according to the latest update.

A woman in her 70s who succumbed to the disease last week is the only person killed by the pandemic in the country so far.

New Zealand to stick with tough Covid-19 curbs amid ‘early signs of improvement’

She's a babe ...

New Zealand will stick to its tough curbs to combat the coronavirus, despite some early signs that the spread of the illness has been stabilizing.

“Our actions for the remainder of the period in level four will be about doubling down to ensure the gains made in the first half are not squandered in the second,” Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told reporters in Wellington on Monday.

The country’s 67 new infections were the lowest in five days, taking its tally to just over 1,100. New Zealand has reported one death, Reuters said.

Level-four curbs allow people to take walks or go to supermarkets for essentials, but they are required to stay 2 meters (7ft) apart.

“I don’t want New Zealand to be at level four for a minute longer than needed, but equally there is no plan to move from level four early,” Ardern said.

New Zealand started a four-week total lockdown of its population of about five million late in March, and declared a national emergency to slow the spread of the virus.

    I've suspected ... for a long time, Scottish ... are ... to ... blame ...

World's First F-Bomb Was Dropped By Bored 16th Century Scottish Student, Locked-Down By Plague

    "wan fukkit funling"

Experts have found the origin of the F-word can be traced back to a Scottish manuscript penned by a student who was in lockdown due to a plague in the 16th century, reported The Scotsman.

An hour-long BBC Scotland documentary, which airs on Tuesday, will show the Bannatyne Manuscript, which was written by George Bannatyne in 1568, while he sat in quarantine at his Edinburgh home.

The manuscript contains The Flyting Of Dunbar And Kennedy, an alleged account of a dual between poet William Dunbar and Walter Kennedy in Edinburgh before the court of King James IV of Scotland in the early 1500s.

In the documentary, Dr. Joanna Kopaczyk, a historical linguistics at Glasgow University, tells viewers:

"In the Flyting of Dunbar and Kennedy, when Kennedy addresses Dunbar, there is the earliest surviving record of the word 'f***' in the world."

Kopaczyk says there is "some very juicy language" in Bannatyne's collection and that Dunbar and Kennedy exchange insults with one phrase that said: "wan fukkit funling."

A:In my personal experience, teaching certificates have varied in relevance depending on the context and location. Here's a breakdown of each aspect:a) Getting the teaching job: Teaching certificates can certainly enhance your chances of securing a teaching position, especially in formal educational settings such as schools and language institutions. Many employers prefer candidates who have undergone specific training in pedagogy and instructional techniques, which these certificates often provide. However, other factors such as experience, references, and the demand for teachers in a particular area also play significant roles in the hiring process.b) Getting a higher salary than your uncertified competitors: In some cases, holding a teaching certificate can indeed lead to a higher salary compared to uncertified competitors. Many educational institutions have structured salary scales that take into account factors such as level of education, years of experience, and additional certifications. Holding a teaching certificate may place you in a higher salary bracket or make you eligible for certain salary incentives or bonuses. However, this can vary widely depending on the specific policies of the institution or organization.c) Getting promotions: Teaching certificates can be beneficial for career advancement and securing promotions within the field of education. They demonstrate a commitment to professional development and mastery of teaching skills, which are qualities that many employers value when considering candidates for leadership positions or administrative roles.
