Q: What do you do to make up for a bad China day or just to relax , have fun ?
I like to explore here. I hate sitting around. At home I like building or fixing things, I have a 38 Chevy hot rod and a 33 Chevy I've disassembled and cut the car in half to make a pickup. I had a bad China day, then yesterday it poured all day, so today I went for a scooter ride, got outside the city, took my MP3 player. that made all the difference. I like some of the music I hear in China, but it was great riding around listening to my music. I have everything from Avril to Zeppelin.
When I have "one of those days" ( we called them "the blues" or "the menses"), I just want to be left alone (I will not be good company), and I do take with me some of my music, prepare a cooler with a few beers, and ride around until I do find a spot away from all, and with a nice view. Normally, I head out of the city, to one of the nearby mountain tops, and stop when I see a nice tree and a beautiful scenery.
Then I sit under the tree, sip beer and listen to music. Within an hour or two I am back to "normal" again.

or you can do this 1, go get an oil massage, 2, afternoon tea with your friends 3, play xbox 4,order pizza and watch a movie 5,go shopping 6,change hairstyle 7,go swimming 8,do your nails(just for girls) 9,go to ktv with just one or two friends 10,take a vacation 11, go clubbing with a lot of friends and get drunk. 12,go to your favourite restaurant. 13, go horse riding 14,play golf or badminton, tennis,basketball etc. too many things ...

An oil massage is a close method, not one other thing on your list would help with a bad China day, especially shopping, there is no good pizza in China. I should have been a smart ass. Bitting my tongue.

Aiya! There is good pizza in China! Just maybe not in your city? :P
Pizza Hut is terrible. Papa John's is "adequate". I've found the best pizza's are at western style grill and bar/pub type restaurants. Ningbo and Hangzhou have enough to choose from....not sure where you are....but I guess you can find something suitable :P

Actually going to KTV and singing your heart out with one or two others for a few hours is really relaxing. You can order food, stay for a long time and belt your heart out. I totally forgot where I was for about 3 hours last time. Karamay, Xinjiang.
I left feeling quite refreshed.
take a bath and then go to bed and sleep or watch a movie ......
i go to the driving range get out my driver and hit those balls as far as i can
I go to the local pet store, buy the cutest puppy I can find, take it outside and see how far I can kick it.
Then, I will get a group of young kids together and tell them that there is no Santa Klaus or Easter Bunny.
After that, I will wander the streets looking for people enjoying a good book. If I know the book, I will tell them how it ends. If not, I normally just make something up and say, "Great book, too bad he dies in the end." And then I will walk away as I hear them sob in the background.
If that wasn't enough, I will walk into dress shops and tell women "That dress looks awesome, too bad your fat ass spoils it."
And if I really want to end it all, I will tell my my wife that my mother is coming to live with us. Once I do that, then she will kill me and put me out of my misery.

I usually go to the gym and take out the day's frustrations on the weights. Also tend to give more scary laowai mean faces to the locals, haha. Once the pent up rage is released, then follow up with a (legit) massage. Usually does the trick.
I was feeling pretty blue this weekend myself. The other day I went to McDonald's (which I don't usually do) and had some chicken nuggets and french fries. That's the closest I can get to comfort food. I also spent most of the day alone in my apartment, watching a movie, doing some cross stitch. That's a big project that's taking me a very long time, I will upload a picture onto the forum when it's finished.

Not sure who down-voted you, but I gave you an up-vote to balance it out, because I also had some chicken nuggets this past weekend (and a double cheeseburger, and fries, and coke, and....). Ugh, back to the gym, haha.

she's from my town, long storey but i have a belt that was hers.
I go to the city and eat Mexican food and then get drunk in an expat bar....so I can actually carry on a normal conversation in English for a change.
i buy enough beers and just keep on writing dumb things on facebook until i don't cool down...as soon as i cool down i check the comments and likes on those status, if any. Then read them if they are OK to keep it for long and start to delete.........it works most of the time.........
