Yesterday I walked from the Jiankou to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. The mountainous, unrestored part (Jiankou) was really beautiful, and the hike was a bit more adventurous than I had imagined. This morning I felt like a tired old man, so I read a book until midday, explored some food streets in Beijing, then got a train back home.

On my days off during working weeks, I usually go out for lunch or coffee with someone, and go cycling and swimming in the morning or evening.

What do you do on weekends, Vicky?

What did I do... hmm... 

- rode my motorcycle, went to a foreign owned bar, had some White Russians and tried my first Martini (which is horrible, don't drink them)

- played some War Hammer until 4am with some other foreigners (yes, I am a 220 lbs. 6 foot businessman that likes role playing games and going to the gym... so what! =P)

- got some work done (weekends is catch-up time for my business)

- had a Chinese valentine's day with my wife, she made spaghetti, we drank wine

- today I am just relaxing to prepare for next week because I think it will be a busy one

So, what do I do on weekends? Laundry, housekeeping on Saturday afternoons, dinner at an Italian restaurant, then watch movies and then sleep. Sundays are out with friends having beers in the afternoons, usually. Yesterday was different, went out with a female colleague and had dinner. Don't get ideas, she brought her kid along. Her husband couldn't get back for the weekend. Weekends are days when I could sleep in and do nothing. After a week of running around, weekends are a blessing. 

Work on my book.

'Last year (2013) I used Goat and Rabbit Manure I would put the manure in a 5 gal bucket (fill about halfway)and soak it in water for 2-3 days and make a tea then use that mixture every 3rd day through the Vegetative state.. The tea would last about 3 applications then i would take the remaining Manure and put in my compost pile for later use in the Garden..'

I'm studying book with the title 'Guerrilla Growing'. Only on Sundays, of course.

Despite all Laws, I need something to lower my blood glucose.

I have no difference between weekends and weekdays. Usually I will try to stay home on weekends though, as there are too many people on the streets. 

Always different. This weekend i didnt want to leave. Catch up on some movies and shows. Alot of baileys and coffee. Next weekend is friends and after that is thailand so this weekend i did nothing.

Yesterday I met with an adult student of mine for a two hour English lesson and got into a really interesting conversation with him about Mao's effect on China as it is today. Went home and watched a movie with my wife and just chilled with her for the rest of the day. This morning I went for my usual couple of hours at our English corner. I have been doing that for nearly three years now and have made a lot of friends there so it always good to see them. Then it was off to lunch with some foreign friends at a new restaurant that turned out to be very good, so that will be another on the favorite list. Arrived back home and chatted with my stepson for a while before he went back to work and the rest of the day has been my favorite activity, just chilling with my wife.

yesterday I discovered an area in Shanghai called tianzi fang.  Its a really cool little shopping area with lots of small inventive shops and restaurants and bars with tiny alleyways.  Also had lunch at xian tian di.  I was planning on looking at apartments but didnt get around to it.  Had a couple of drinks and got a taxi back to Changning.

This weekend I went grocery shopping Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon I cleaned the back patio and BBQ grill, Saturday night BBQ with friends.

Sunday I rode my motorcycle for a few hours, during the evening I BBQed a Sirloin strip roast with grilled mushrooms and vegetables.

Went to the beach and got my skin burnt..now I am as red and black as an African...
