Personally speaking,i am angry with the administrator who deletes lots of my questions without a reasonable cause.
Please delete this question if you feel offended,my dear administrator!Maybe it doesn't relate to any of the specific categories or specific city.

The site responses quickly which is out of my expectation,as you can see from the new notice.Anyway,it is a good sign.I hope the administrator faces the problem bravely,as it is in fact good for the site.
I do not think it is of any relevance to you or any other members what I may think of this site's Administrator. When and if I have a problem, I do contact him privately and iron it out. After all, it is my problem and not every one's problem.
In this site, as in most of all websites, the job of an Admin or Moderator is a very unrewarding one. He is to uphold the rules by which the site functions. And when he does his job, in doing so he will make a few happy, and a few unhappy at the same time. So, no matters what he does, he will catch "flack" from someone unhappy with his actions. I did that for 8 years, until I got so fed up with a few members trying to do as they pleased on my website, instead of what I had envision when I opened it, that I closed it. Until today, many do not understand why I closed it, but I do not have headaches right now.
I do not envy at all CAT's job, it is a very lonesome one. And you may not see a reason for him to delete your posting sometimes from your perspective, but that is from your biased point of view. Open your mind a little more, get a broader view and insure that your comments, questions and answers are not offensive or disrespectful to anyone, and you will see that your posts all of a sudden, are no longer deleted.
But I am not the CAT, nor I set rules here. This is just my opinion.

I have to give you thumbs up!However,i don't think i have posted questions insulting the other members though there were some questions posted in the wrong places.
HappyExPat:
Chenhan: what may seem inocuous to you, may be offensive to the rest of the world out there. This is why I said your opinion is biased, sometimes we just do not see the effect of our words to another person, because we do not think in their shoes.
Reasonable cause? It's their site, not yours. They don't need a reason when they are paying the bills. If you want to be able to say anything you want without fear of it disappearing... open your own site.
The Admin is doing one of the jobs for which they were hired. I've had posts deleted in the past. No big deal.
Sometimes I get a little cagey, and post things I probably shouldn't have, but it has helped to remind me to think things through more. There have been a few times when I have written something and am just about to click the "submit." I've reconsidered, not because I am "afraid" that Cat will delete it, but because it reminds me there is some sort of standard.
So, live and learn. Your anger will go away, and all will be kittens and unicorns again!

Yeah I agree don't take it too personal everyone has had some comments or questions or answers deleted at one point or another. I also think the comments get deleted whether they are relevant or not or that's what I have noticed. I don't mind because I think having too many comments just congests the page and a lot of times the comments are either negative, rude or just somebody arguing with the person's answer. Just like this comment I thought galdrosich had a good answer so I posted here but this comment will get deleted soon and I don't care it's how it works!
Well, I think that if the question is an offensive statement disguised as a question, or if the question has nothing to do with the site or with China then it should be deleted (like the one someone asked about traveling in South America...). I have had questions and comments deleted and even got a one day suspension once. Giadrosich said it best: "Live and learn!"
Polite, but too forgiving of Wu mao. This place is one of the better boards in China. Then Wu mao showed up and now it's just as petty as the Beijinger forum.
GuilinRaf:
Petty and then some! I just have fun with them and on ocasion, reportthem to the Cat With a Tie.
mattaya:
I've been to the beijinger forum and they allow cussing and explicit language is allowed. They should put on the beijinger parental guidance is advised. I'm glad there was an alternative to that site. This site echinacities is much cleaner than that other site.
nevermind:
I won't let their BS go unanswered, so the more they do it, the more I will.
I think he/she has a thankless job.
You can't make all the people happy all the time.
On a side note I see some people are now absent (banned?) here again.
Did I miss something?
i poke fun at the cat ( a lot but in all seriousness they have a very difficult task. remember where we are. they have to balance many things that conflict with each other. and this site is very enjoyable
In my opinion they do a good job, they let us have our fun.And the odd post ive had deleted seems to have been after a few beers on my part so no complaints from me
its what you signed up for
there are rules anywhere you go and you must play it the way it was intended.
