No weaknesses, just strengths.

The Chinese are noble and forthright, gracious and intelligent. Their curiosity and inquisitivness has been the clarion call of all other cultures, whether acknowledged or not. The gentlemen are brave, the women are fair, and childen well-behaved.

Mao was the harbringer, the light,  the guiding principle of social change that propelled China into its proper place among the family of nations; bold, caring, compassionate; able to lead by being a servant, able to inspire by being humble, and able to influence by compromise.

The world is China's table, the seas, a mere lake which caresses the hem of her garmet, while the mountains are pinnacles supporting the celestial dome of sky which sheilds and amplifies the majesty and might of the Middle Kingdom!

Viva la France!!

They're ok. Most of them are pretty good folks, but some of them scream "HELLO" really loud which is more annoying than you could possibly imagine. And a lot make too big a deal out of me being a foreigner, which makes them seem stupid and bothers the hell out of me.

Other than that, they're mostly pretty good folks.

I'm not answering this as.... um... eloquently as giadrosich. Smile

I don't like or dislike anyone based on their race, strengths, weaknesses, religion, age, sexual preference, background, height, weight, traditions, political beliefs or pet choice. I'm an equal opportunity people liker.

The Chinese as a whole... their biggest weakness is also their biggest strength. The gov't and conditions they are forced to live in, and the fact that they persevere is a testament to both.

chinese people are just like any other people. here's the problems:
1. govt does a thorough job uneducating and mis-educating the population. when you see rude, moronic, baffling behavior , it is a direct result of the govts efforts. the govt here does what churches want to do better than churches. (but there is a huge drawback to it, China will feel it in 10-15 years, )
2. in the rest of the world if i were to see a driver drive into side of a truck that was right in front of them while they were staring at the damn thing. i would utter "stupid driver" anywhere else in the world a local would say yes stupid driver. but here in the middle kingdom the response is "whybecause he is chinese, the problem is you dont understand chinese culture"  people here have a serious napoleon complex (large land mass, 1.5 bil people. how is this possible, think of the men) this is also due to the govt miseducating. they feel they must break every thing down according to race and nationality (but in this way: chinese(superior)/ foreigners(inferior) defend this retard idea at all costs!). if i say i like hamburgers, the response is "every foreigner likes hamburgers?" becoz china and chinese culture is the only culture of note so it is varied and complex especially when compared to "the culture" (that's right singular) of the other 5.5 bil people is so simple that every single person is the same. the younger generation are a little more sophisticated. they may think in terms of "western , chinese (still superior) , other"  or the more sophisticated " america , canada, aussie, england, china (always superior), other"  my clarity is fading so i must end here
in summation , chinese people are just like any other . you have rude behavior , disgusting behavior great behavior. good people bad people. people who swallow the kool aid flavored ....  people who dont. but the difference is the govt here does a better job so you have a higher percentage of ignorance and the resulting behaviors that stem from ignorance.

" the govt here does what churches want to do better than churches." Sorry, crimo. This is just opinion. I understand you don't like churches, but get a grip.

women must wear skirts not pants priest must not marry or have sex with women. (but are allowed to molest children) ex: priest has sex with woman in fla is forced to leave the church. all priest who are caught molesting are transferred over and over again. much of church law fall under 2 categories mechanisms of control and mechs to re-enforce control. i'll give you an example, i once consulted for a jewish church. i was to arrange security for their events during their holy week. i presented to they how to protect the parking lot watch out for vandalism etc. but unknown to me their biggest and only concern was making sure members who were not current on their dues do not attend the ceremonies. really??? financial crisis hit me hard, barely making car payments and house payments i need god and slavation the most during this religous holiday and i cant attend services because i'm late on my dues?? i gave this particular example becauses it shows that the probs are not just w/ christian churches. i will not cont this discuss. i respect your difference in opinion .

Crimo, that may just be your best offering to date. Well done. I would add something to that but your clarification is very accurate.

Each individual I take on their own merits.  Some good, some bad, same as the rest of the world.

The actions of the country as a whole, however, is a different story.  But as my mother taught me, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
