Top that with Xu Zhiyong. He is a (brilliant) Chinese lawyer.. He went to jail a month ago because he publicly (and *peacefully*) protested for leaders to publish their wealth, and in general, applying the law are they are stated in the rule book. He always been asking, simply, that the Chinese states apply Chinese law.
Chinese love freedom as much as other human race /nationals do.
The way to liberation is long and hard.

Chinese have never known Democracy and could not handle it. Think China is nuts now? Institute an American style democracy here and watch the fun. Corruption, crooked politics on a grand scale, vote rigging, violence, and political separatism. It would be ugly and would just end up back to a dictatorship.
Well, it worked in the renegade province of Taiwan. Not really. Taiwan went through two dictators (Chang Kai Shek and Son) and basically is ruled by a single party, the KMT. Only one President was not KMT and he was a crooked goofball.
Democracy might be the best, but it sucks too. Because of democracy and stupid voters, America has Obama. Before him was. Bush, before him was Clinton. I mean, the voters are retards. Chinese people voting? Good Lord. Can you imagine?
i liked Hu Jintao. This new guy not so much. Hu was pretty cool and presided over "the good times". The new dude wants to drag China back to authoritarianism and petty nationalism and playing the blame game on e foreigners and the Japs. Not good.

They don't matter anymore. These are 80/90s style dissidents who don't carry any weight in 2014. I don't judge them as individuals, nor do I judge their fight. I'm just saying they come from the past because the other guys have won a while ago. The Chinese have been put asleep and they're not waking up anytime soon.
At best they're a diplomacy tool, leaders will invite them over or give them some prize when they need to piss China off.
