As with all corruption cases, he will be put on trail and convicted for all to see. All his property will be confiscated (mistresses included?). He will probably end up in one of the labor camps (don't know if they still exists) and re-educated. Probably 20 years hard labor and then we will never hear of him again. Take a look at all those who were convicted before  him, none of them were ever heard of again.

No he's not one of ours at the CFTU.

Though he, like everyone else, should contact The Leader's Secret Police, and join immediately.

icnif77:

CFTU stands for 'Shut The Fork Up'!, what is similar to words 'cheater' and 'teacher'. I believe, it's called 'anagram'.

My favorite ana-l-gram-matic word is 'kitchen', buTT...it shouldn't be written!

'My' Q goes: 'Did you know, the words 'kitchen and 'chicken' have same letters?

Then, watch the interviewee looking at his/her fingers, and silently spelling both words.

The CFTU is a truly cherished World Power Organization.

It is led by The Leader.

We have representatives on all the Great Forums of China.

Often our representatives will try to gain converts on the Great Forums; if they fail they face castration so it is important that forum members are open to hear them.

After he's convicted of corruption and killed, Jiang Zemin is next.

The Hu Jintao clique (led by Xi Jinping) is currently uprooting everyone connected to Jiang Zemin. With the exception of Zhou Yongkang and himself, the Jiang Zemin clique has been completely uprooted.

Say what you want about Xi Jinping, but he's remarkably intelligent. He knows how to play this game, and he knows how to purge people without enraging those loyal to Jiang Zemin. When Jiang Zemin's clique is out of the way, Xi Jinping is going to do some serious shit. What that is, I have no idea, but I want to wait and see.

Probably part of assets confiscated, and then house arrest or one of those minimum security prisons. Never mind how long a conviction he gets I bet he'll be quietly out again in about 5-7 years living the rest of his life under the radar and with less money than before.

Don't forget, corruption is corruption, but he's still a high ranking CCP member, can't be too hard on him after all.

He'll have a 20 sqr mtr cell next to Bo. His "case" is to show the people that hte party is above the people, and to show the cadres that Xi is at the helm and that they should be scared and well behaved so they are not next (Chinese parenting technique)

Most people don't understand that the Party is not unified, there is a war going on between the 2 main factions, the elitists (Xi Jinping, ...) and the populists (Hu Jintao, Bo Xilai, Zhou Yongkang, ...), there are also minor factions who used to be more influent, such as the infamous Shanghai Gang, followers of Jiang Zenmin. They are divided along deep-rooted topics such as military, economic, social or foreign affairs.

Xi is not fighting corruption, simply securing his power, the person to who he will give Zhou's position will be as corrupted as the last, the only difference being that the new guy will take orders and report from/to Xi or any other elitist and not from/to Bo or Hu or any other populist.

Hulk:

Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping are pretty close buddies, and they're both against the Jiang Zemin clique. Not sure where you're getting your information.

I agree that there are fractions working on different agendas within the party, but they are all in agreement of no public display of disagreement. Last time that happened thousands were gunned down in the streets during the public protests that came from the people supporting different party lines.

Xi will go after Hu at some point too. The public knowledge of his fortunes abroad will be the main reason, but in fact Xi is pissed that Hu has perfected riding his pants all the way to the armpits.

Eorthisio:

@Hulk -> They are "friends" because there is an agreement among all members of the CCP to not show any disagreement to the public, the Party is still on power because the people tolerate it (economic growth is the only thing holding China together right now), in case of public display of disagreement it could lead to a good opportunity for dissidents to start massive protests and as always in Chinese history when the people got angry it was just a matter of time before the leaders end up with their heads on top of a spike. The biggest fear of the CCP is their own people.

They will say that they executed him but really he will be send to a tropical island where all the "executed" officials now live. The island is called Club Tropicana, the drinks happen to be free. There is enough fun and sunshine for everyone. I believe a song was sung about it once.
