First, it might be stress, to be honest.
Second, it might be a change in diet resulting in a significant decrease in protein and/or those minerals, etc., etc. needed to generate hair growth.
Thirdly, you may wish to undergo a thorough physical examination because there are maladies that can cause hair loss as well, some of them socially transmissible, some of them not.
If you are in a major city, just ask for the dermatology section of the No. 1 People's Hospital in that area. My own experience is that the Chinese are pretty on top of this issue.
Consider your vitamin intake, too : D, K., etc., etc..
use natural shampoos instead of chemical ones and eat sea food this has to prevent hair loss
carcinogens the type that when consumed more than normal can cause defects. Such as hair loss.
The enzyme PGD2 is preventing hair follicles from maturing and therefore stopping them from working and growing hair in men. Stress, drugs and hormones can also affect hair loss.

My wife suffers from hair loss, our place looks carpeted half the time. I don't know what causes it but beating the person who suffers from it doesn't help. Even if you beat her with an expensive hair treatment, you still have to sweep up afterwards. What a drag.
