Q: What exactly is the significance of wearing a green hat in China?

I know it's something to do with cheating, or being cheated on, but what's the exact explanation. Is it the person who GIVES the hat who is cheating, or the person who RECEIVES the hat? My favourite colour is green(!)

A green hat worn by a man means that your significant other has cheated on you....

in fact, the hat is not a real one, just literally a green hat, which means that you have been cheating by your girlfriend or wife, they may have relationship with other guys, and you are put a green hat under this condition~
