Q: What happened to the comments?

I've noticed recently that some of my comments to some answers along with other people's have been deleted. What's going on with that? Perhaps the admin could explain?

After 1 week, comments become hidden. You can click "comments" at the top left of a post to expand the hidden comments.

Deletion of posts has also increased recently (posts seem to be deleted for sex-related words or negative generalisations about mainland Chinese people).
