Having read a few of your posts, I don't think you're ready for honest assessments of your government's actions in Hong Kong. If you support the Chinese government, ask yourself why they have to stop Chinese people from finding out real information (about Hong Kong, Chinese history, international disputes, etc...).
To summarise the situation in Hong Kong:
HK people have, until recently, enjoyed rule of law, human rights, freedom of speech, freedom of press, and an excellent education system. The Beijing government has been working tirelessly to undermine all these things (by paying groups of thugs to attack journalists and editors in public; imprisoning Hong Kong writers when they visit mainland China; carrying out cyber-attacks to stop Hong Kong people from conducting referendums; building PLA military bases in the middle of Hong Kong; demanding that Hong Kong schools start teaching CCP propaganda to children; etc, etc, etc.).
When Hong Kong was returned from the British Empire, the Beijing government signed an agreement stating that HK would maintain political autonomy, and be allowed to continue enjoying all the things that make its society better than mainland society (which is to say: a lot of things). Unfortunately, your present government has interpreted that agreement as meaning "Hahahaha, just kidding. Fuck you."
The crucial turning point was Beijing undermining Hong Kong people's right to vote (one of the stipulations in the handover agreement). When Hong Kong people "vote" for their leader, they will be given a selection of Beijing-appointed government officials, as opposed to people they would actually want to vote for.
Just before National Day this year, tens of thousands of people (mostly students and academics) started protesting, demanding that their right to democratically choose their leader be upheld. Then the government approved the use of tear gas against peaceful protesters. After the police started using tear gas, the number of protesters increased significantly. The size and scale of the protests have been pretty impressive - surpassed only by the protests in 1997 following the handover (whatever you may have been told by state media, Hong Kong people do not want to be part of China).
Inevitably, Hong Kong will be stripped of everything that made it great (including informed, socially conscious, forward-thinking leaders), and turned into a 2nd-world country run by incompetent morons, and populated by people with no rights. Who benefits? No one. But Communism isn't about letting people have good things.

1. The only “trouble” in Taiwan is the Communist Party of China pretending that it controls or should control Taiwan. It doesn’t, and never has in all of human history. Taiwan has its own government which is democratically elected. As a result of not being part of the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan is more developed, has higher standards of living, higher standards of education, public services, and generally civilised and informed people. Why would anyone support the CCP taking away the good things that other people have? Oh yes… patriotism. “Other people should submit to Communist rule because I love my country!”
2. Whenever anyone speaks out against the CCP’s dishonesty or violation of agreements or human rights, your government says “American interference!” America has nothing to do with the Hong Kong protests. Hong Kong people are angry because of the things that are happening in Hong Kong now. They formed these opinions by themselves, because they are intelligent, informed, educated, switched-on, forward-thinking people.
Obviously your government doesn’t like people with those attributes, which is why mainland people must be kept in the dark - in a state of self-satisfied, self-assured, self-sustaining ignorance.
3. Yes, it would be nice if Hong Kong’s higher standards of living and concern for constitutional rights could affect the mainland. But the fact that your government is systematically stripping Hong Kong of those things should dispel that fantasy outright.
It puzzles me that a Chinese person can believe “All these unruly people must conform to our government’s will!” while simultaneously thinking “Wouldn’t it be nice if we had more rights!” Those two things are the opposite. You think it would be nice if people had rights, while at the same time thinking everyone who has rights should submit to mainland Chinese rule. Sigh…

You may like saying words such as "I never support people's rights being taken away". But you are just trying to make yourself sound good. They're just words. If you think the Communist government should control Taiwan, then you support people's rights being taken away.
Taiwanese people don't want to be taken over by the mainland's horrible government. They also don't want to be invaded, which is why they need military support from the US. They enjoy a significantly higher standard of living than mainland Chinese people, because their system of government is better than yours. Unfortunately, mainland Chinese people actually couldn't care less about Taiwanese people's rights.

How do we think? I read about things, then the different neural pathways in my brain build links about what I've read & then, based on my upbringing & cultural prejudices my mind cogitates on whether I agree, disagree or want to change my view on what I read.
You might need to be more specific on which small piece of news you are referring to as my mind only thinks for itself & can't read yours.

I heard that, I work with Hongkers, they were talking about this guy, he murdered 2 Indonesian prostitutes apparently, and maybe more that we don't know about, he got arrested and by HK law he is good to spend the rest of his life in a jail.

Come on if they have it better, which is different from being better, somebody should be trying to get what they have, not take it away from them so everybody has it bad.
Interesting opinion piece on China Daily yesterday, presumably government endorsed or it would be there suggesting a commission to review the nominating process. Though it was written by a "foreigner" so could easily be discounted.
