I'm not 100% sure, but I think it has something to do with women in China often pouting, acting capricious, whining, etc...as an act to get more attention from their husbands/boyfriends. They purposely act 'high-maintenance' so their strong man can take care of them. It's a little like role-playing here, really . Apparently it's the epitome of female cuteness in China.

But my Chinese girlfriend doesn't have guy friends, because she doesn't have the time to go out. Every morning before going to work I give her a daily quest that involves making sure everything at home is perfect for when i come back from work and she greets me with a cafe latte with a hint of cinnamon and cocoa. Add to it the cooking, laundry cleaning and taking care of all my dancing outfits and costumes, she doesn't have moar time to go out a lot!

Girls in China start doing this when they hit 20 so they can appear younger and therefore attractive to Chinese men, because in China a woman who is not married and who has not popped out a kid by the age of 22 is pretty a much useless old hag that no Chinese man wants. The older a woman gets, and if she's still single, the more high pitched and idiotic the baby-babble becomes.

This stops IMMEDIATELY upon marriage and then the woman wears nothing but plaid pants with flower print shirts. Unfortunately, all the years of talking like an idiot leaves the vocal chords stretched and sore, so all married Chinese women sort of sound like they were 30 pack a day smokers by the time they hit 40.

This phenomenon has also brought about the 35 year old women with Hello Kitty hand bags who dress like they are in the 4th grade hoping to attract that fat, bald, 50 year old sketchy Chinese dude in the stained wife beater hiked up over his belly and boxer shorts that just got out of a BMW.

The frieken 'sa jiao' is--i think--another format of male-superiority that is still very thick in asian culture. Back home--another Asian country--many women tend to do or not do something because either they want to satisfied 'man's ego' of being more powerful, protective, and soon.. or simply because the woman just spoiled and hungry for attention. But, I don't usually see like what women do here with their 'sa jiao'..which is to me sometimes feel annoying.

Ady, just laughing here to see your comment about handbag I'm not sure if this is 'gender-biased', but I won't ask my hubby to carry my handbag, it just turns me off to see a man carries gf/wife's handbag well, of course I'm not talking about some exceptions like accident, being sick, or else.. Being nice and caring to your gf/wife is essential in relationship, but carrying gf/wife's bag for no significant reason is just a way too much. I don't know why it's like seeing 2 words: over-spoiled & control-freak. Anyways, people can surely do what they like or prefer..

It hasn't been 48 hours and Baylee-Ann already learned about Sa Jiao! She said it was funny, because women here have small breasts, so they look like little kids. Baylee-Ann - who's like a sister to me - isn't good with geography and thought it was japan. She said it was probably because Chinese men are turned on by little girls both physically and mentally.

For fun, she started acting like that when we went to see the Olympic park and the pool. It was really annoying so we started to fight because I wanted her to stop. She punched me in the groin and I had to falcon punch her very hard so she understands I am right. We had a good fun!

Of course I don't want her to suffer serious injuries, so I went to the kitchen to get some vegetable oil and rubbed it on her body. I also made her wear my Happy chicken costume to further reduce the risk of injury. It didn't go well, because Baylee-Ann - she's used to wrestling in 'Merica - stunlocked her in less than 10 sec after a series of jabs and a well placed uppercut.

I reprimanded my Chinese girlfriend, because Baylee-Ann started to act all Sa Jiao since then. It was terrible during dinner! When we went to sleep, it was even moar annoying, she was all cuddly cuddly while my Chinese girlfriend fell asleep quite quickly because of the bottle of red wine she drank to make up for her loss.

Later today, we're going to visit the Great Beijing Wall and when she least expect it, I'll falcon punch Baylee-Ann again so she understands I'm still the King!
