By ancient time, Yuan dynast, Mongolia people ruled China, they were quite cruel, they made people for four different classes and people cannot talk to each other freely(like what is Chinese government doing), so people wanted to pull down that dynast, they put massage inside of cake, they went to people‘s house, didn't talk just handed the moon cake and left, after they left people broke the cake got the message, they made a plan to go together to fight the Yuan government at the day when the moon is round(15th every month in lunar calendar), that was 15th August(lunar calendar) and they succeed. To remember and celebrate this people make it festival and eat the cake, as the cake is round as the moon, they name it moon cake.
And nowadays, some people among Menggu zu(Mongolian-Chinese) don't celebrate this festival, as this is a reminder that their ancestors failure.
