Createach. It is distinctly unfair and unreasonable to take the example of one girl who acted badly, when asking such a broad question.

I'm sure some people of all nationalities would act the same way as your friend's ex did (male and female). It's not fair to the half a billion or so women in the world who happen to be Chinese, to use that one example and try and explain them.

I remember feeling irritated a few months ago by a thread about 'western women' when the OP took an example of one woman who'd been a bitch, then tried to draw it out to ask a general question (strongly implying all us western women were complexed bitches). You're doing the same thing here; using one bad experience to tar a whole group. i don't know why your friend's ex left him,but maybe there are some other reasons your friend didn't tell you.Chinese girls usually pay much attention to loyalty once they really fall in love and they don't want to see much uncertainty in their relationship in the future.Also ,they hope the ones they want to marry would have a good temper and be filial.As you can see,there are much points involved,so we really can't say anything now that we don't know what the problem lies in.
