Q: What is the luckiest thing that happened to you since you got to China?

So what is the luckiest thing that has happened to you since you've been in China? My string of luck has been winning a big prize to getting a really good job that didn't require me to travel anywhere. What type of string of luck have you come across since coming to China?

Meeting the most dedicated, perfect and affectionate woman I have ever laid eyes on.
Have been almost a year, and our attachment grows stronger each passing day.  A former model, 175 cms, 52 kilos, long black hair, black eyes.

If next year I win the welfare lottery, I will not be as happy as I am today !

Having probably one of the best first experiences working in China. There are so many things that could have been worse, but it's basically been all good.

I came to China , I was lucky to meet the people that I did. The first person I meet on my own spoke good English. He did so much to help me. The first woman I met that I had a conversation with while out walking, also was very good to me. Her english is not so good. She also would go out with me to places. Both of these people are my friends. They never asked me for anything, never scammed me. I still write to them. I was lucky to meet such nice people. I did meet more nice people, but these two I still keep in touch with. I did meet scammers, but met far more nice people in China.

I think I would say I was lucky that my wife's family are really great people. Her mom and dad have treated me wonderfully since I've been here for two years. They never try to take control of our lifes or be nosy about things. The mom loves to feed us dinner, and is a great cook. For some reason, she thought Americans eat chicken (probably confusing it with turkey) for Christmas dinner, so my first year here, she showed up at the resturant late because she had gone and gotten me a bucket of KFC. It was precious. Her dad loves to fish, so often we'll go to the countryside and while he fishes, I'll sit and read or sketch.

Her sister is a very forward thinking individual who has lots of ambition and loves to take us with her when she travels. Last month we took a trip for a week to ski at YaBuLi and then it was off to WeiHai and Qingdao.

So, yep, I would say that fortune was on my side that my wife's family turned out fine.

A:Good question!  I'd say, if you study at Uni in China beside working full-time as an E.T. with Residence permit, you don't interfere with your full-time employment. It's your free time and you can do anything you want, with respect to the Chinese laws and customs. Have a look at terms of Z visa/Residence permit and ... ".. you cannot work (and earn monies!) with another employer ..."That's all it is! Your RP sponsor title is written on the RP stamp in your passport, I think. It's in Mandarin, so I've heard about that from someone ...At I.D.-ing by cops, they know where you work and than more details about you are just a phone call away ... and it happened in person ... LOL ... during the day-time stroll through Wulumuqi, Xinjiang, 2012/13 semester. Now under RP, you're free to surf Internet, jog, ... and study, too. I suggest, you look and ask at the Uni, you plan to study in the future. Have a detailed look at requirements for studying and attending chosen Uni.Good luck! -- icnif77
